Here goes with my review – same format as all my Cool Casinos Club Game Reviews… I’ll start with the basics and winning combinations, then a section on the feature round and bigger payouts and finally give my rating compared to the many other slots around at the moment and a few more words on why I love Cherry Red so much!

At heart this is a standard 25 line video slot, you get to choose the number of lines and bet amount ranging from 1c a line through to a whopping $5 (so $125 per spin). There are two jackpots which are randomly triggered, while symbols and scatter symbols – like all Cherry Red slots you get an autoplay option which you can configure to your own requirements.

Symbols are very Sherlock Holmes-like giving the impression of a murder at an 18th century mansion house. Card symbols are used to bulk out the winning chances with payouts starting at 3 jack, ten and nine symbols (5 times line bet) and going up to 250 times your line bet for 5 aces, kings or queens.

Mansions and detectives pay 10, 50 and 500 for 3, 4 and 5 – with the suspects (butler, lady of the house and lord of the manor) paying between 2 line bets and 2500. The mystery symbol is a substitute – you’ll get 7500 times your line bet for 5 on a line, and the magnifying glass ‘it’s a mystery’ is a scatter… 3 of these trigger the feature round.

Jackpots first, these are the ‘minor’ and ‘major’ jackpot and are in the $100’s and $1000’s range – not the massive ones associated with some slots. These are triggered at random and are independent of the money you win from the spin when they are triggered. What I like about these is that they can easily get you an extra few thousand, yet do not take too much of a cut from the main game – a nice balance.

You are guaranteed a feature at this slot, at the top right you will see the 150 spin countdown to this (changing your bet up at the last minute will not work!). You can actually choose to gamble for an earlier feature (it resets to 150 after you do this) at any point too… the percentage chance of winning is displayed along with the number of remaining spins on the top right of the screen.

There are two stages to the feature, first a puzzle round with the lady of the house and butler decide how many free spins you get and how big your multiplier is. This is a graphic feature, though you do not get involved other than to watch. Next the free spins start, with winnings multiplied and accumulating at the top. As an extra there is a top-up if your winnings from the feature are particularly small compared to your bets (though they should not be small too often!!).

All-in all a decent feature, I particularly like the fact that you can see when the guaranteed feature will arrive – this could save you switching slots just before a big payout comes!!

It’s a Mystery Slot Game Review – My Rating And Next Steps

I’ll give this one 7/10, it is a solid and entertaining game – nothing special or unusual about it to make it stand out from the competition. I have it on my ‘good fun and will play it occasionally’ list, rather than my all-time favorites.
