My Review Of The Cool Slot From Party, Chests Of Plenty – Pirate Themed And With Some Great Features Too

Chests Of Plenty is a pirate themed slot, this actually got me wondering why there are not more of these – sure Goldbeard springs to mind – however compared to the huge number of Aztec / Egypt / Superhero type slots these do seem to be in the minority.

Anyway, this is a 20 line video slot, you play all 20 lines while listening to a lightly crazy sea-shanty. While there are plenty of winning combinations to keep you going, this one did seem to be the type that pays much higher from the features rather than the day-to-day symbol matching. Some nice quirks, including a female pirate which turns the male pirates into wilds when she appears next to them!

All 20 lines automatically play on this video slot, so the first thing you do is simply select your preferred line stake. The total per spin is shown directly above the play button on the bottom right corner. You can start with 1c and go up to $5, giving you a range between $1 and $100 per spin. There is an auto play which you set the parameters for when to start and stop.

The symbols are cards (as always!), parrots, male and female pirates. Chests and treasure maps. Chests are scatter symbols and maps will start the treasure island feature with 3, 4 or 5 showing.

Symbol payouts start with the cards as usual, 3 on a line are enough, paying between 5 and 10 line bets as the card values rise. 5 cards pays well, with 5x 10’s paying 40, going up to 120 line bets for 5x aces. Wilds (lady pirate symbol) give you a lot more winning chances with these smaller payouts.

Parrots and swords (or should that be cutlasses?) pay significantly more, with 3, 4 and 5 parrots paying 40, 100 and 500 times your line bet and swords paying 60, 200 and 1000! If you are lucky enough to hit the pirates in a row you will be paid 100, 400 and 2000 times your bet for the male pirate and 200, 500 and 10,000 for the female pirate – how about that for some significant buried treasure!

When the female pirate comes in on the right of a male pirate the male also turns into a wild symbol – which can increase those wins still further.

Chests Of Plenty Online Slot Review – Feature Rounds

Great features on this game, and as I said in the intro, these can be very very profitable indeed. I’ll cover the chests scatter bonus first, then the more advance treasure map bonus after that.

If you get 3 chests on reels 1, 3 and 5 a graphical scatter bonus starts. The chests become large and open up, revealing their treasure. 3 gems then come out of each one, diamonds, rubies or emeralds. If all 3 match you get 5, 2 and 1 times your bet added to your total. This keeps on going from chest to chest until you get 3 gems which do not match, at which point that chest closes and disappears – when all 3 chests are gone then this bonus round is over and you resume normal play.

The bigger and better feature round is the ‘Treasure Island Bonus’ which is triggered by getting 3, 4 or 5 maps anywhere on the reels. This number of maps makes a big difference – as this determines which island you explore for treasure. Here are the combinations:

1. 3 Treasure Maps – Explore the Booty Island (from 15 to 1000 in prizes)
2. 4 Treasure Maps – Explore the Isle of Plenty (from 50 to 1500 in prizes)
3. 5 Treasure Maps – Explore the Jackpot Island (from 300 to 2000 in prizes).

Once you start you spin a wheel, which moves you around the islands, collecting mystery prizes and pieces of a map which will move you to the next island up. This is a fun interactive feature (though based on chance of course) and as long as you avoid the skull and crossbones on the spinner you can collect some great rewards!

Chests Of Plenty Slot – My Rating And Next Steps

This is about as easy an 8/10 as I have ever rated – that’s pretty good in my system too. The features is what make this slot a lot of fun… and my only negative is the crazy sea-shanty which plays when you spin the reels (and this can be muted). This slot is definitely a ‘returner’ for me… and next time I want to hit that damn Jackpot Island instead!!
